40k makes a come back

After the holidays passed, a couple of the snotlings and I visited our flgs. Low and behold they had a single copy of Deathstorm.  Notice the word "had". They do not any longer.  We do. 

All the models are built and primed. A little bit of paint is starting to Appear on them.  They are awesome.  I will admite, the tyranids scare me a little. 

This prompted the brood to find all the 40k minis in the house. Attached are a few snaps of them.  It is not a lot. But plenty for us to start playing again.

Orks and more Orks.. and Upgrades?

The Snotlings and I have played 40k (5th edition) some.  Not enough to say we are all that good, but it was enjoyable.  I mainly played an Ork army where the older Snotling played the Imperials.  I had a ton of minis from when I played 2nd ed, so Space Marines and Orks it was.

Now, the 7th edition is out.  It is worth getting?  What does it take to convert and army over?  Here is my 500 point Ork warband, Yes, I know, it could be better.  I'm just asking about conversion, not optimization.

I will admit, the Tyranids look rather awesome.  I may have to pick up some just to paint..

Bergsburg - a warhammer city

Or should I have said Burg..

In any case, Bergsburg is a city that is created and maintained by the internet community.  Sadly, the site went flat line a while back.  I scrapped what I could off of the Internet Archive and placed it here.  I'll be happy to share it if any of you have a better home for it.
